Sarah is not just an Enrolled Agent and QuickBooks ProAdvisor—she’s the driving force behind SMP Business and Tax Services. With a Masters in Accounting from Walsh College and over a decade of hands-on experience in accounting and operations, Sarah’s expertise is both deep and diverse. Her passion for numbers started early, even taking extra accounting classes during her undergrad just for fun!
In 2013, after realizing her teaching dreams weren’t in the cards, Sarah decided to pursue another passion: helping businesses thrive. That’s when she founded SMP, blending her love for accounting with her entrepreneurial spirit. Since then, she’s been empowering clients with the financial clarity they need to succeed.
A proud graduate of Central Michigan University, (fire up Chips!) Nichole went on to earn her Master’s degree from Full Sail University, where she achieved valedictorian honors Outside of the office, you’ll find Nichole at Exalt Fitness in downtown Fowlerville, where she channels her passion for fitness and nutrition as a coach.
Fun Fact: Nichole enjoys hitting the trails with a weighted pack—because who doesn’t love a good challenge? She’s all about balancing work, wellness, and a bit of adventure, always with a smile and a positive attitude.
Kayla Fellmy keeps things running smoothly as our Accounting Assistant at SMP Business and Tax Services, juggling everything from bookkeeping to payroll. With a decade of client service know-how and a knack for organization, she’s the one we count on to keep us on track. Outside the office, Kayla is a proud mom to two daughters, Lyana (5) and Lorelai (7), and two dogs, Oliver (a Saint Bernard) and Raja (a Rottweiler). Whether they're out exploring or just hanging with family and friends, Kayla and her crew are all about making memories.
Lauren recently joined SMP as an Administrative Assistant, where she manages the team’s workload and supports her colleagues while applying her academic knowledge. She’s currently pursuing both a BBA and an MBA at Cleary University, having already earned an Associate's degree in Business Administration.
Though new to the industry, Lauren’s background in university courses on bookkeeping and finance has given her a strong foundation. Outside of work, she enjoys solving puzzles, exploring the outdoors, drawing, and playing video games. Lauren is also adopted, with a sister from Guatemala, and they are often mistaken for twins despite their different appearances.
Lauren has a deep passion for nature and dreams of spending a day as a biologist, archaeologist, or landscape architect. While she enjoys Mocha Lattes or Frappes, a bit of food and sunshine are her true energy sources. She’s eager to grow with the SMP team!
